Pursuant to Circular No. 12/2021/TT-BGDDT dated April 5, 2021, issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, promulgating and implementing the pedagogical training program for bachelor's degree holders in relevant majors aspiring to become lower and upper secondary school teachers;

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education hereby announces the enrollment for the Pedagogical Training Course for Bachelor's Degree Holders in Relevant Majors Aspiring to Become Lower and Upper Secondary School Teachers, as follows:

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant major and have the aspiration to become a teacher at one of the following subjects:

Lower secondary school: Economic and Legal Education/ English/ Chinese/ Russian/ French/ Mathematics/ Informatics/ Literature.

Upper secondary school: National Defense Education/ Economic and Legal Education/ English/ Chinese/ Russian/ French/ Mathematics/ Informatics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Literature/ History/ Geography.

Program Content and Mode of Study

Total duration: 35 credits, including 31 compulsory credits and 4 elective credits.

Detailed program (provided in the attached appendix).

Mode of study: Blended (in-person and online learning).

Schedule and Location

Schedule :

+ Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings: 18:00–21:00;

+ Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings: 18:00–21:00;

+ Saturday and Sunday: 08:00–11:30 (morning), 13:30–17:30 (afternoon).

Expected commencement: Class will be opened once the minimum enrollment of 40 applicants is met

Location: Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (280 An Duong Vuong, Ward 4, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education celebrated The 42nd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day (20/11/1982-20/11/2024) and awarded Certificate of Accreditation of its Training Programs

On November 20th, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE) organized a special ceremony to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the Vietnamese Techers’ Day. This event served not only as a mean to express appreciation to teachers but equally reflected upon the growth process of the university.

The opening performance, taking the theme of praising the people’s teacher, brought a heartwarming and emotional atmostphere, followed by equally elaborate performances. These performances had served as a conduit for the organizers heartfelt expression of emotion and respect for teachers.

During his congratulatory speech at the event, Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Son - President of the university - paid his utmost gratitude to the generations of lecturers and students of the university.

He also proudly shared: “It is a great honor to have received two Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, one National Award for Outstanding Educators, nine Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), as well as numerous Medals for the Cause of Education. More importantly, however, are the quiet yet profound achievements of the HCMUE collective. These stand as a firm testament to our invaluable contribution to the cause of education advancement. Each individual at HCMUE have shown relentless efforts to enhance the value of HCMUE. With that, I truly believe that these honors are not only a source of pride for the recipients, but also a shared joy for us all — because we have only one beloved Ho Chi Minh City University of Education”.

Over the past year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE) has achieved significant milestones. Eight training programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels were accredited by the Ministry of Education and Training, and the university officially established its Gia Lai branch, marking a new chapter in its course of development. These accomplishments represent important steps toward enhancing training quality, promoting international integration, and supporting the university’s sustainable development.

The ceremony was also an occasion for the university to honor individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements, who were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education and Training, and other prestigious distinctions.

The Military Region 7 Art Troupe contributed a series of meticulously prepared performances, rich in artistic expression and filled with reverence for educators. The songs, dances, and artistic presentations created a poignant and dignified atmosphere that left a lasting impression on all who attended.

The event concluded in a joyful and warm spirit, offering teachers and students alike a moment to reflect on their accomplishments and aspire toward greater goals. More than just a moment of gratitude, the ceremony stood as a testament to HCMUE’s steadfast commitment to educational excellence.

The Result of "HCMUE Reading Culture Ambassador" Competition in 2024

After more than two months of organizing and launching the "HCMUE Reading Culture Ambassador" competition in 2024, the Organizing Committee received 82 entries from 21 units in the Preliminary round. After evaluation, 19 entries advanced to the Final round.

This year's competition has shown that the leadership of the departments has paid special attention, provided guidance, and fostered a shift in awareness regarding the development of a reading culture among readers. This has resulted in a noticeable improvement in the quality of the entries, with many submissions being well-invested and of higher quality. Numerous entries were presented impressively and attractively; the content clearly and logically conveyed the themes, was scientific, creative, and thoroughly analyzed with illustrative images, profound reflections, and meaningful lessons that can be applied to the work, study, and scientific research of students.

As a result, the judges selected 11 outstanding entries according to the prize structure, and awarded 2 collective prizes to the two units with the highest number of winning entries.

Let us be proud and spread the spirit of the reading culture and get ready for more exciting competitions to come.

The graduation week of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education starts on July 7th, awarding degrees to 2,470 K46 graduates and honoring 236 outstanding graduates.

The graduation series at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education also awards master's degrees to 328 postgraduate students and doctoral degrees to 22 PhD candidates.

Among them, 34 students are valedictorians of their respective fields of study, and 17 postgraduate students graduate with distinction.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Son, the President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, extended his congratulations to the graduates, postgraduates, and doctoral candidates who have completed their courses and received their degrees. Mr. Son praised the new graduates for their diligence, dedication, and commitment to their studies.

The President also expressed his gratitude to the parents for being a solid backbone to support their children’s lives and academic pursuits, and he thanked them for entrusting HCMUE to develop and nurture the future of their children.

The University’s Board of Directors is confident that from this important milestone, the new graduates will embark on a new journey, becoming more mature, independent, and responsible towards themselves, their families, and society.

New graduate Nguyễn Hữu Luân, the valedictorian of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education with a GPA of 3.93/4, graduated with distinction in English Language Teaching. In his speech expressing gratitude to the lecturers and reflecting on his university years, Luân said, "I encourage my fellow graduates to gather small joys to overcome the challenges that lie ahead in this new chapter of life."

New Doctor of Education Management Lê Hoàng Vũ shared at the ceremony: "Thank you all for never giving up during this arduous and challenging journey of study and research. Thank you for always being there, sharing every moment of joy and sorrow throughout the process. The most beautiful place is where we have been, and the most beautiful time is the time we cannot return to.”

Announcement of Result

ANNOUNCEMENT ON ENROLLING IN FULL-TIME BACHELOR PROGRAMS WITHOUT ENTRY EXAMINATION IN 2019

1. Objectives:

– Category 1: all students in Regulation of Ministry of Education and Training (Circular 05/2017/TT-BGDĐT dated on January 25th, 2017)

For recruitment of Early Childhood Education, candidates are required to take the examination for gifted held by HCMUE and get the score of 6.5 or more.

– Category 2: all highschool graduates (see the list in Appendix 2) that are ranked “Very Good” or over in the academic year 2018-2019, choose right majors or near specialized majors and possess one of the following priorities (see Term 3):

a) First, second or third prizes in the provincial-level examinations/ contests;
b) Ranked “Very Good” or “Excellent” in grade 10 and 11.

For Early Childhood Education and Physical Education, candidates are required to take the examination for gifted held by HCMUE and get the score of 6.5 or more.
